You can reach out to us via What’s App (click on the green What’s App icon on the bottom right of the screen), fill out the form on the Contact Us page, send an email to info@doozie.co or call us on 07356 234123.
We will then arrange a design call to understand what you are trying to achieve and share some details on materials and other options etc.
Finally, will provide a design and quote.
To get some idea of costs, go to the Product page where will find some examples of the types of cabinets we provide with indicative prices.
-
An initial call should be complete in under an hour. This allows us enough time to understand what you are trying to achieve and for us to explain the various options.
We will then follow up within 48 hours with a design and indicative quote.
-
Make your design call fast and focused—bring what you can:
Photos of the room
Measurements of the space for cabinets
Possible obstructions (sockets, radiators, pendant lights, switches, pipes, etc.)
A starting idea for materials and handles
Don’t worry if it’s not complete—we’ll guide you and give the time you need.
-
We can send material samples to you, and bring samples for you to check during the site visit after the design and quote are approved.
-
When a site visit happens depends on room complexity. For many customers we start with a Zoom call which allows us to produce an initial design and quote. We then schedule a site visit for final measurements.
For complex projects or by your request, we do the site visit first.
-
No matter the age of the property, walls, floors and ceiling are rarely complete straight and level!
As is typical for custom fitted furniture, our designs incorporate filler or infill panels around the edge of the furniture and can be accurately cut to size using a process called scribing.
All carpenters are skilled in this and you can even do it yourself - this video on YouTube gives you a complete walkthrough in case you would like to do it yourself.
-
For main cabinets we use 18mm boards — stronger and stiffer than typical 16mm DIY panels.
For cabinet backs we use 8mm boards — sturdy yet light to move, and much thicker than the 4mm (or thinner) backs in DIY cabinets.
-
We typically use boards from industry leader, Egger. They have over 200 different board types covering different colours, wood grains and even textures. They are made from melamine faced chipboard which is proven to be durable and stable, requiring little maintenance.
Wood veneered boards are typically more expensive and need to be oiled or sprayed which adds to the manufacturing time and overall cost.
Most of our cabinets are made from Melamine Faced Chipboard which are an industry standard and provide great price whilst being rigid, stable and durable with over 200 different colours and wood grain reproductions

The various handles we offer can be found on the handles page. They include knobs, profiles and pull handles and are typically available in Black/Steel or brass colours.
-
Of course. This is included in the standard price for knobs with single holes.
For handles or profiles with two holes, they is typically a small surchage to cover the more bespoke nature of the drilling.
-
Absolutely - all cabinets are made fit your space. No standard sizes here.
-
Yes - we can provide the appropriate lighting (typically LED strips), controllers and drivers etc and drill the channels to mount the lights and hide any wires.

We aim to get an initial design and quote out within 48 hours of the first meeting.
For non standard designs, this might be longer.
-
Once you have accepted a quote, we will send an invoice for 30% of the order. Once paid, that will trigger the following activities:
We arrange a site visit for final measurement if it hasn’t already been completed.
We complete the technical planning steps
We schedule a manufacturing date
We pencil in a delivery date
At this point, your order is secured with final payment needing to be made before manufacturing commences.
-
There are two payment milestones:
30% of the quote value to secure the order
Remaining 70% of the quote allows manufacturing to commence.
The gap between these two payments is dependent on the current lead time which we try to keep below 8 weeks.
Delivery and Installation
-
Step 1 involved ensuring all parts are packed which do by barcode tracking all parts throughout the process.
All parts are then grouped by cabinet and loaded on a special pallet to ensure they aren’t damaged during delivery.
This special pallet can then be loaded to onto the van and driven to your location.
Finally the parts are unloaded to a ground floor room in your house ready for installation.
-
Our prices include delivery for a journey up to 1 hour from our HQ in Cheshire. We can travel further for an extra fee - contact us for a detailed quote.
-
Absolutely! We have designed the cabinets to be easy to install and have reduced the number of loose fittings to speed things.
Some customers assemble the units themselves but get in a carpenter to help with the filler panels round the edges.
Many customers also arrange for a carpenter to fit the units for them - we can introduce you so ones we have worked with in the past.
-
You can pick a delivery date after paying the deposit, but it’s only confirmed once the final payment is made and we lock in production. We’re normally flexible, so most customers get their first choice.
-
We avoid missed deliveries and damaged goods. That’s why we use our own delivery team to give customers the best experience.
-
We have a number of local carpenters that are familiar with how we work that we can introduce you to. Just let us know if you would like an introduction.
-
Due to the custom nature of what we build, we have invested in special reusable pallets to ship our products.
This allows us to deal with the variety of panel sizes and quantities in each order, better protects the panels and minimises the packaging materials which helps us keep the cost down and means you don’t have to get rid of the packing materials afterwards!
